Remote Lesson Set Up
1) EQUIPMENT:
If needed, remote lessons can be taught on Zoom or FaceTime, but my preferred platform is FarPlay, which has studio quality and extremely low latency audio that I can accompany singers in real time during their coachings. To use FarPlay, you must be connected to the internet via Ethernet cable and using WIRED headphones, not wireless. Here are some recommendations if you need this equipment:
Headphones: (make sure you choose a connector that works with your computer port - 3.5mm jack or USB, etc.)

Ethernet cable: (choose a length long enough to go from your modem to your computer)

Adapter: If your computer does not have an Ethernet port, you may need an adapter like this: (this one is to connect via USB-C)

2) PLATFORM:
Next, you will need to go to FarPlay.io to download and then install the free software.
3) JOINING YOUR LESSON:
a.) plug in your ethernet cable to the modem and computer
b.) plug in your headphones
c.) turn off your WIFI
c.) open FarPlay and click “Join Session”
d.) enter my dedicated session ID: AES4TUTDWI
e.) click the blue “Video” button
Voilà! You’re connected with low-latency audio!
